Daffodil

Part of our Aur Cymru chapter

The origins of the daffodil as the national flower of Wales were introduced during the 19th century by David Lloyd George, the only Welshman to serve as Prime Minister. Symbolising rebirth and new beginnings, its appearance in early spring neatly coincides with St. David’s Day on 1st March.
